In response to questions from Dean Schaffzin’s Town Hall Meeting yesterday, please see below for a list of resources the University of Memphis has made available to students in need.\u00a0 If you have specific concerns or need other assistance, please email me<\/a> to set up an appointment.<\/p>\n Thanks, Counseling Center:<\/strong>\u00a0The Counseling Center is available for\u00a0phone consultation and has an appointment schedule\u00a0for students. Please call 901.678.2068\u00a0to speak to a counselor. Our hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. If you have a crisis or emergency after 4:30 p.m., please call 901.678.HELP (4357). Please check the\u00a0Counseling\u00a0Center<\/b><\/a>\u00a0website\u00a0for our virtual teletherapy appointments which will be available beginning Monday, March 23.<\/p>\n Other Counseling Services:\u00a0<\/strong> Additional counseling services are available through TLAP and the Psychological Services Center.\u00a0 You can find additional information here<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Health Center:<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0Health Center is on an appointment-only schedule for patients. Please go to\u00a0My Patient Portal<\/b><\/a>\u00a0located on the\u00a0Health Center<\/b><\/a>\u00a0website or call our office at 901.678.2287 to make an appointment. Appointments are available from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n If you are exhibiting symptoms of the coronavirus including\u00a0a fever, cough or difficulty breathing or have had contact with a confirmed or suspected case of coronavirus, phone consultations are required.<\/p>\n Our staff is currently implementing a virtual health platform which will be available beginning Monday, March 23.\n<\/p>\n \nFood Insecurity:<\/strong>\u00a0Efforts to address student food insecurity will also continue via the Tiger Pantry:<\/p>\n \nStudent Assistance:\u00a0<\/strong>The University Office of the Dean of Students is available to provide you with guidance and resources to support your continued academic pursuits.
