In the wake of Edward Snowden\u2019s and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper\u2019s revelations that the NSA conducts warrantless wiretaps of Americans, American law schools have not seen abundant discussion concerning\u00a0far-ranging implications of warrantless domestic spying. Memphis Law\u2019s very own Adjunct Professor General Albert C. Harvey and Professor Boris Mamlyuk\u00a0will lead a roundtable discussion on\u00a0this very intriguing\u00a0topic at NOON on Thursday, November 13 in Room 127. Topics on the table will include\u00a0the scope of potential constitutional violations, the statutory schemes that are said to authorize such actions, the civil rights and civil liberties concerns raised by warrantless domestic spying, and the intersection of private legal protections and constitutional protections. Lunch will be provided.
