The ABA Antitrust Law Section’s Janet D. Steiger Fellowship Project is accepting applications for Summer 2020. OCTOBER 25 Deadline; $6000 Stipend<\/span><\/div>\n

The Steiger Fellowship is designed to place remarkable law students in Offices of Attorneys General across the United States. Selected students, serving eight to 10 weeks during the summer of 2020, will have an extraordinary opportunity to gain valuable experience in the practice of Consumer Protection and Antitrust Law. <\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Among this year\u2019s forty (40) hosts are Minnesota and Rhode Island, who will each host a Steiger Fellow for the first time, and again includes the National Association of Attorneys General and the Office of the Attorney General of the Government of the District of Columbia. We also welcome back the Attorney General\u2019s Office of the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands and the Department of Justice of the Government of Puerto Rico.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This year\u2019s recruitment activities are taking place during the fall semester. The application period is now open and will close <\/span>October 25, 2019<\/span>. While this is a change from years past, the fellowship continues to be open to both 1L and 2L students. Recent revisions to the NALP guidelines now allow individual law schools to determine whether to permit 1Ls access to employment. To that end, applicants who do not currently have all required materials, such as law school transcripts and writing samples, must submit them as soon as they become available.<\/span><\/div>\n

Each selected student will receive a $6,000 stipend for the summer (administered through the fellowship site\u2019s office and subject to certain federal taxes). In the event that a Steiger Fellow is not living at home during their fellowship, a limited travel\/housing stipend allowance may be available.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
