Wellness Wednesday, March 22nd: Judge Skahan, Criminal Mental Health Court

SBA’s Wellness Program presents Judge Skahan to learn about the Criminal Mental Health Court on March 22nd at noon in Wade. The court provides assistance for people who are “in and out of the criminal justice system not because they’re criminals but because of their mental health issue.” More than 2,000 people jailed at 201 Poplar, more than 500 of them have a diagnosable mental illness. Come out and hear about how the legal profession is helping address the issues of mental health. Chick-fli-A will be provided.
