Welcome to 1Ls from the Academic Success Program
Welcome to the beginning of your law school career. This is the first of many Academic Success Program (“ASP”) posts that you will see throughout your time here. Here’s a little bit about who we are:
Who? ASP is the Academic Success Program that consists of two graduate assistants (Gale Robinson ’17 and John Floyd ’16) and Dean Meredith Aden.
What? We provide academic support to all students, regardless of year, through periodical workshops, outlining sessions, exam-preparation classes, and one-on-one tutoring. We will also regularly post tips and other information on the blog.
Where? Our offices are located on the fourth floor by the computer lab near the Mental Health Journal.
What to look forward to? Well, actually, we look forward to meeting you during orientation! We will be available before, during, and after Section panels as well as being around the school this week. Within the first week of school, we will have an open house breakfast by our offices and throughout the year we will have coffee and snacks available to everyone.
Below are two helpful links. The first is a “checklist” and last minute tips that you can put into practice this week. The second is an interesting article for those of you who are contemplating taking hand notes.

Lastly, please feel free to drop by our offices or contact us at any time. Also, sign up for our ASP page on TWEN for more information, including office hours. Thanks!
