“REMINDER” Veterans Law Society (VLS) Interest Meeting Sep. 7, @ 12p. Rm. 127

Veterans Law Society (VLS) will host its inaugural interest meeting  on Thursday, September 7th, 2023 at 12pm, in Rm. 127.  All interested students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend.  The meeting will last approximately twenty minutes. During this meeting we will begin with opening remarks regarding the vision for the organization, its current status with the University and the way forward. We will then move to generals VLS information as well as discuss elections.  We will conclude with upcoming events, then open the floor to input and questions.  Coffee and donuts will be provided.

Officer Positions available:  Treasurer, Secretary, & 1L Section Representatives (One for each section)

There will be no dues assessed this year.

VLS membership is open to all law students in good-standing currently enrolled at Memphis Law, regardless of veteran status. This organization is a great way to support those who served through becoming more informed, professional networking, and volunteering.

Those who are unable to attend are invited to email Derrick Shawver at dwshwyer@memphis.edu to declare their intent to join or interest.
