TLAP Resources

Dear Students,

The Tennessee Lawyer’s Assistance Program (TLAP) is a free, confidential resource established by the Tennessee Supreme Court to assist legal professionals and law students in addressing mental health and wellness issues. TLAP provides consultation, assessment, intervention, and referrals, along with other forms of clinical and peer support. When you call TLAP, you can be sure that complete confidentiality will be maintained by virtue of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 33 and T.C.A. 23-4-101, et seq.

A caller to TLAP can also remain anonymous and receive free consultation without divulging any identifying information.

In the wake of tragedy and loss in the legal community, TLAP can offer both group and individual support. TLAP provides group debriefings after traumatic events, through which attendees gain tools and support to aid them in the healing process. TLAP also offers short-term solution-focused counseling to individuals, followed by appropriate referrals to community and professional support.

If you would like to talk to TLAP, please call us anytime at 615-741-3238.

Thanks,
Dean Aden
