Tennessee General Sessions Judges Conference Scholarship Opportunity
The Tennessee General Sessions Judges Conference Scholarship will be awarded to a Tennessee law school student who has demonstrated a sustained, passionate commitment to achieving equality opportunity and access to all in the justice system. This scholarship in the amount of $500, will be presented to the recipient in October 2021 at the Sheraton Music City.
Applicant must:
- Be enrolled as a second- or third-year law student in good academic standing; and
- Submit a (500-1000) word essay on the “Importance of the 3 Branches of Government” and
- Submit a Resume; and
- Submit a statement of financial need; and
- Submit an official law transcript.
The (500-1000) word essay on the “Importance of the 3 Branches of Government” must focus on diversity in the legal profession, and include the following:
- The applicant’s talents, passions and background experience in advancing the future of justice in the emerging legal landscape; and
- Identify and/or forecast future trends and challenges in the legal profession and how the applicant would address such trends and challenges.
