Sudan: An Update and How to Indict an International War Criminal

On Monday, November 11th at 12pm in Room 244,  International Law Society will be hosting Mark Hackett, Operation Broken Silence’s executive director.  Mark will be providing insights into the events that led to the overthrow of Sudan’s dictator Omar al-Bashir earlier this year and what steps are being taken by the International Criminal Court to hold al-Bashir accountable for his crimes against humanity during his 30 year reign. Lunch will be provided. 
Operation Broken Silence is a nonprofit based in Memphis that serves to empower the Sudanese people through storytelling and movement building, education and emergency relief, and grassroots activism here in Tennessee.  For more information about OBS, please visit:
