Study—not Storage—in the Library

Since the beginning of this school year, information on the use of carrels (which also applies to study rooms, tables, and windowsills) has been posted in each carrel:

Carrels are for study, not storage.

No one OWNS a carrel.

Please be respectful of and courteous to the staff who keep this area clean for study. And in the interest of safety, security, and respect for yourself and your colleagues,

Please remove all your belongings when you have finished your study session.

If you need to store items in the law building, please arrange for a locker.  (See Locker Rentals on the law school website.)

Again: this is a reminder to find appropriate storage space for your belongings.  When you leave a study space—for the day, for lunch, for class, for whatever reason longer than a brief minute—that table, windowsill, carrel, or study room should be clear and available for the next person who needs to use that space, whether for cleaning or study.
