Street Law: General Body Meeting & Advocacy Camp Volunteers Needed!
Street Law General Body Meeting is this Wednesday, February 2 in room 127. Please join us to discuss advocacy camp plans!
We are excited to announce that the annual Advocacy Camp will be held on Saturday, February 12. This year, we shift focus from criminal law to a topic not as heavily covered in high schools: the civil court system.
This year’s topics include discussions on property law, civil procedure, intersection of health and the law, the of impact constitutional questions on the civil courts, and a discussion of the importance for minority representation in our civil court system.
We are looking for volunteers to fulfill roles including general assistance/floaters, transportation, catering, assisting speakers, leading groups around the building, and checking in the students.
This is a great opportunity to take part in youth outreach as well as a chance to log some much-needed pro bono hours.
Sign ups are the volunteer positions are posted on Street Law’s TWEN page.
