Registration - Coming Soon - Fall Registration Coming Soon Transparent PNG - 494x312 - Free Download on NicePNGThe spring 2026 registration materials are posted on the Law Registrar’s Registration & Course Information page. Please review the Course Schedule and Course Grid closely; there are revisions.

We want to thank every student who took the time to review the draft grid and provide us with feedback. We revised the grid using your feedback for some things, but other feedback did not result in a change for various reasons.

Registration Schedule:

  • November 10 for veterans and JD/MBA students (MBA courses only) at 7:00 a.m.
  • November 11 3Ls (43+ attempt hours) beginning at noon.
  • November 13 2Ls (15-42 attempt hours) beginning at noon.
  • November 14 1Ls (0-14 attempt hours) beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Here are some tips before registration begins.

  • Read the Law Registrar’s Registration Memo in its entirety.
  • Review the steps for Preparing to Register and How to Register.
  • Check your account for and clear Holds. Those will prevent you from registering. Financial-related holds can only be cleared by USBS.
  • Check to see if you need an Alternate PIN. Needing an Alternate PIN will prevent you from registering for classes. Email lawregistrar@memphis.edu for an Alternate PIN.
  • READ THE FOOTNOTES on the last page of the Course Schedule.
  • Updates to the schedule are unlikely. However, any updates will be announced via the Blog. So check the Blog daily.
  • Watch the Blog for an announcement regarding advising sessions. Get an appointment and receive academic advising!
  • Seminars satisfy the Advanced Writing Requirement.  Completing the first-year full-time curriculum is a prerequisite for enrolling in any seminar. These courses are limited-enrollment by design.  Students who need a seminar to satisfy the Advanced Writing Requirement have priority for seminar seats.  Students who have satisfied their Advanced Writing Requirement by completing a seminar or Law Review Note must wait until Friday, November 14, to register for either seminar offered.   If you have any questions about seminar enrollment, please contact Ms. Edwards or Dean Romantz.
  • Law students who have accommodations through the Disability Resources for Students office are NOT permitted to register early, even if 1) myMemphis messaging states otherwise, 2) the system were to allow you to register before the start time, and/or 3) a DRS email says you can. Students with accommodations may only register on their designated day at their designated time based on their attempted hours.
  • Ask questions about anything you do not understand. Email lawregistrar@memphis.edu or stop by Rm. 264 to see Ms. Edwards.
  • Read the Law Registrar’s Registration Memo in its entirety.
