Spring 2022 | Student Input needed

We Want to Hear From YOU!

A draft of the Spring 2022 Course Grid is ready for your review!

Conflicts are unavoidable.  When considering conflicts, we consider many factors, including the frequency with which a course is offered, whether the course is required or bar-tested, and whether students are required to take the course in a particular year. While reviewing, keep the points below in mind.

  • Criminal Procedure I and Professional Responsibility are offered every fall and spring; students must take both but may do so any time in their 2L or 3L years.
  • Evidence and Constitutional Law are offered every fall and spring; students must take both in their 2L year.
  • Business Organizations is offered every fall and spring.
  • There are four sections of Bar Prep.  Students must take this course in their last spring before graduation.
  • Two sections of Trial Ad are offered every fall and spring.
  • One section of Litigation Drafting and one section of Contract Drafting are offered every fall and spring.
  • Seminars are available every fall and spring.  The number of seminars offered and the seminar topics vary from semester to semester based on a variety of factors.
  • All other courses on the schedule are typically offered once per academic year, with the exception of the following courses, which are offered in alternating years:  Housing Adjudication Clinic, Information Privacy Law, and US Taxation of International Income.  The following courses are returning to the course list after a brief hiatus:  Entertainment Law and Mergers & Acquisitions.  We anticipate offering these courses once per academic year, subject to enrollment and coverage.

Please review the grid.  If you have a comment on an academic concern, please send the conflict information and a purposed fix to your student organization president or to the student bar association president. A list of student leaders is linked below.

Comments should be shared with a student leader by 10:00 a.m. next Wednesday, October 6.
