BE SURE TO READ THE REGISTRATION-RELATED REGULATIONS LISTED AT THE TOP OF THE COURSE & CLASS INFORMATION PAGE. THE COURSE SCHEDULE, GRID, AND EXAM SCHEDULE ARE ALSO POSTED THERE!
THE DEADLINE CALENDAR AND LAW REGISTRAR’S REGISTRATION MEMO WILL BE POSTED SOON. BE SURE TO READ THE MEMO. IT WILL CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING WAITLISTS.
Registration for spring 2022 begins soon! Students’ designated registration day is determined by their total attempt* hours listed on their unofficial transcript.
DESIGNATED REGISTRATION DAYS & TIMES
- Veterans only – Monday, November 8 @ 8:00 a.m.
- 43+ attempt* hours – Tuesday, November 9 @ 9:00 a.m.
- 15-42 attempt* hours – Thursday, November 11 @ 9:00 a.m.
- 0-14 attempt* hours – Friday, November 12 @ 9:00 a.m.**
STUDENTS WITH ACCOMMODATIONS: You are NOT allowed to register earlier than your designated registration day, despite any messaging to you from the Disability Resources for Students office or dates listed in myMemphis. You should always use the Registrar’s Memo as a guide for when to register. Additionally, if you register prior to your designated registration day, you will be dropped from all courses.
*HOW TO FIND YOUR “ATTEMPT” HOURS
- Log into the myMemphis Portal.
- Under the Student tab, click My Resources then find the Banner Self Service section.
- Click Student, then click Student Records, then click Academic Transcript.
- Choose the current term.Scroll to bottom of page to find “Attempt Hours.”
**FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS are required to register themselves for classes, and remain in the same sections as fall (11, 12 and Legal Methods). An email with detailed instructions will be sent to students’ memphis.edu email on Friday morning, October 15. If you do not receive the email, you should contact Cheryl Edwards, Law Registrar.
THIS AND THATS:
- Schedule Builder has been eliminated.
- If you have ever needed an Alternate PIN or myMemphis indicates you need one, contact Ms. Edwards. CHECK THIS PRIOR TO YOUR DESIGNATED REGISTRATION DAY. An Alternate PIN will prevent you from registering.
- If you owe the University money, and you have a hold on your account, you must have the hold cleared prior to your designated registration day or the system will prevent you from registering.
- When you have reviewed the Exam Schedule and two or more of the courses you plan to enroll in have conflicting exams, you must request a waiver from Dean Wilson BEFORE registering for any courses.
