SELS: Richard Katz – Founder and Agent KMG Sports 10/25

The Sport and Entertainment Law Society will host Richard Katz on October 25 in room 226 from 12:00 – 1:00. Mr. Katz founded KMG Sports in Cincinnati, now one of the nation’s leading sports management companies. KMG has represented over 500 athletes and coaches across professional and college sports. Mr. Katz is also a Certified Contract Advisor with both the National Football Players Association (NFLPA) and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA). Mr. Katz currently represents both Bob Huggins and Frank Martin, and will discuss different contractual issues playing out in the current college basketball investigations. Additionally, he will discuss his own negotiations and contracts in general, and, as a former judge for the Tulane negotiation competitions, can speak to those.
