SBA Memphis Child Advocacy Bear Drive

Please help SBA collect teddy bears for the Memphis Child Advocacy Center. The CAC is an organization that serves children who are victims of sexual and severe physical abuse. When kids visit the Child Advocacy Center for the first time, it is usually because they’ve been violated by someone they trust –resulting in an undeserved sense of shame. On their first visit to the center, kids get to pick a cuddly new friend from the wall of bears. The gift of a brand new teddy bear affirms their goodness. It provides them a choice they have control over.  And it gives them comfort. They are in need of medium sized bears (14″ high or more) that are brand new.

There will be a box underneath the SBA board in the main lobby where you can place the bears. Please only donate teddy bears, no other animals. Help us help these children!
