Reminder: Library Noise policy

There have been some concerns expressed about the noise levels on the first floor of the library this past semester. So, before the new semester starts, the law library would like to remind people about the noise levels acceptable on each floor of the library.

• The basement is a quiet study area.
• The first floor is not a quiet study area. Normal decibel level conversations are acceptable.
• The second floor is not a quiet study area.
• The third floor is a quiet study area.
• The fourth floor is a quiet study area in the reading room. The open study spaces are not quiet.

That being said, please be considerate of other users at all times. For quiet study spaces, this means respecting that other library patrons may still need to access materials and may cause some noise in doing so.  For non-quiet spaces, please keep your noise levels low enough that everyone can enjoy the space.
