Remaining 1L Workshops – Including Academic Advising Information

Dear 1Ls,

We will have four remaining workshops this semester.  Please mark your calendars for these.

Moot Court

Tuesday, March 12 @ noon in Wade Auditorium.

Learn about the winning tradition that is Memphis Moot Court!  We’re thrilled to welcome another class to the Memphis Moot Court program!

We will discuss opportunities:

  • To study in the advocacy area, including the 2L Appellate Advocacy class and the Certificate in Advocacy;
  • To compete in Moot Court and Mock Trial, including the travel team program and in-school competitions; and
  • To join the Moot Court Board.

 

Lunch will be provided.

 

Academic Advising

Workshop 1:  Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at noon in Wade Auditorium

Dean Wilson will host an Academic Advising Workshop on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at noon in Wade Auditorium.   She will discuss academic requirements, registration, class selection, etc.  Lunch will be provided.

 

Workshop 2:  Week of March 18

There will be several small, group Academic Advising sessions during the week of March 18.  Attendance at each session will be capped at approximately 30 students to facilitate discussion.

You will receive an email with instructions on signing up for an small group advising session the week before the sessions are scheduled.

If after attending the large and small session advising workshops you still have individual questions, Dean Aden, Dean Wilson and other faculty and staff are available to answer questions.

 

Law Review Workshop

In this workshop you will learn about benefits and responsibilities of being on Law Review.

You have been assigned to attend a Law Review information session on March 25, 2019 at 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, or 12:30.  If you have a conflict with your assigned time, you may attend a different session, but please be sure to sign the roll for the session you attend.
