Registration - Coming Soon - Fall Registration Coming Soon Transparent PNG - 494x312 - Free Download on NicePNGThe spring 2025 registration materials are posted on the Law Registrar’s Registration & Course Information page. Please review the Course Schedule and Course Grid closely; there are revisions.

We want to thank every student who took the time to review the draft grid and provide us with feedback. We revised the grid using your feedback for some things, but other feedback did not result in a change for various reasons.

Registration begins on November 11th for veterans and JD/MBA students (MBA courses only) and November 18th for everyone else (based on your attempt hours). Here are some tips for before registration begins.

  • Read the Law Registrar’s Registration Memo in its entirety.
  • Check your account for and clear Holds. Financial-related holds can only be cleared by USBS. Those will prevent you from registering.
  • Check to see if you need an Alternate PIN. It will prevent you from registering for classes.
  • READ THE FOOTNOTES on the last page of the Course Schedule.
  • Updates to the schedule are unlikely, any updates will be announced via the Blog. So check the Blog daily.
  • Watch the Blog for an announcement regarding advising sessions. Get an appointment and receive academic advising!
  • Ask questions about anything you do not understand.
  • Seminars satisfy the Advanced Writing Requirement.  Completing the first-year full-time curriculum is a prerequisite for enrolling in any seminar. These courses are limited enrollment by design.  Students who need a seminar to satisfy the Advanced Writing Requirement have priority for seminar seats.  Students may not enroll in a seminar if they have satisfied their Advanced Writing Requirement by completing a seminar or Law Review Note until Friday, November 22nd.   If you have any questions about seminar enrollment, please contact Ms. Edwards or Dean Wilson.
  • Law students who have accommodations through the Disability Resources for Students office are NOT permitted to register early, even if 1) myMemphis messaging states otherwise and/or 2) the system were to allow you to register before the start time. Students with accommodations may only register on their designated day at their designated time based on their attempted hours.
  • Read the Law Registrar’s Registration Memo in its entirety.
