Public Health Law Webinar

Attention students! In case you didn’t know, we have an amazing experiential learning program here at Memphis Law, including a wide range of clinics. One of our newest clinics, the Medical-Legal Partnership, has received national recognition on a webinar presentation co-sponsored by the CDC’s Public Health Law Program and the Network for Public Health Law.

This webinar, “Pursuing Health Equity: Promising Practices in Policy and Law” discussed how the law can address health equity. Our very own Professor Janet Goode was one of the featured speakers and talked to over 500 viewers about how MLPs–including our own clinic–can address these concerns. The webinar took place on June 23rd, but the recording can be viewed at the following link:

Students interested in public health law are also encouraged to join the Network in order to learn more about advances in the field as well as job opportunities after graduation. For more information about health law and how our faculty and school are involved, look forward to future events hosted by the Health Law Society this semester.
