Professor Stephen Mulroy – discussing Fisher v. Hargett: COVID, voter suppression, and absentee ballots – Friday, October 2, 1pm
Get Out The Vote:
Join the American Constitution Society chapter of the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law as we hear from Bredesen Professor of Law Steven Mulroy discussing voter suppression and the recent Tennessee Supreme Court case of Fisher v. Hargett. The case vacated a lower court order allowing all eligible voters to vote by absentee ballot in order to avoid contact with COVID-19. Professor Mulroy worked on the case, and his insight should be quite valuable with regards to voting in Tennessee during the COVID-19 pandemic.
