Pro Bono Project – Respond by Monday 3/21 at Noon

Attorney David Cook of The Hardison Law Firm needs a law student to assist with research on a pro bono appeal of a Mississippi Department assessment pending in Clarksdale, MS. The project should consist of approximately 12 hours work. A few meetings in person either downtown or in Central Gardens will be required, but much of the work will be conducted via email.

Mr. Cook is very active in the local bar association and in many pro bono projects. He participates frequently in the Saturday Legal Clinics and helped lead the Elder Law track of Alternative Spring Break this past week. Working with Mr. Cook will be a valuable learning experience for any student that can serve.

If you are interested please send your name, email, and phone number to me at jerri.green@memphis.edu. I will forward a list of names of those interested to Mr. Cook on Monday, March 21, 2016 at noon. He will likely have more pro bono projects in the future so if you are not chosen for this case you may be contacted for future opportunities.
