Pro Bono Placement with Disability Rights Tennessee
Disability Rights Tennessee (DRT) is a nonprofit legal services organization dedicated to protecting the rights of Tennesseans with disabilities. Due to Covid-19 and other areas of concern, DRT is currently concentrating its work in ensuring persons with disabilities are free from harm in various settings.
DRT is seeking 2 candidates for a Summer 2021 externship. Day(s) and hours are flexible. DRT Summer externs help to advance DRT’s mission in a number of ways, including legal research & help with trial preparation, legislative analysis, and meeting with DRT clients. DRT externships are unpaid, but Memphis Law will grant pro bono credit. Organization and communication skills will be key for any successful extern. It is likely that externships will require some if not all remote work, depending on Covid-19 related policies.
