Agency Description:

Legal Aid of Arkansas is a public interest, not-for-profit law firm dedicated to assuring equal access to justice in civil matters for low income Arkansans through legal representation, advocacy, community partnerships, education and outreach.

Position Summary:

• AmeriCorps JD- gain first-hand experience and legal skills in areas such as client intake and interview, representation, legal education and outreach, research and writing. Complete 300 service hours to receive an education award voucher of $1,212 and a $2,000 living allowance. This position will be supporting Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps attorneys working on Employment Opportunity issues in West Memphis. This position must be filled ASAP. Flexible start/end dates (from early or mid May until early August).
