ML- Memphis Law Magazine #11

We’re proud to bring you issue #11 of our award-winning law school magazine. This issue has a bit of something for everyone, whether you’re a current law student, practicing attorney, recent graduate, or a longtime Memphis Law alumni. You’ll meet some new faces within these pages and hopefully recognize a few that you’ll enjoy learning more about. As always, we hope you find it memorable, entertaining, and educational!

Within this issue, you can read our feature story covering Social Media Companies and Censorship, with a number of First Amendment-related issues at play, as well as the future of news consumption in our society itself. Additionally, we’ve put the spotlight on some unique father-daughter teams in both our student profile and alumni feature. Demarcus and Bethany Davis both shine as students enrolled in law school at the same time. While John Bobango (JD ’83) and his daughter Mary Lauren Bobango Stewart (JD ’19) both tell their stories about their paths to Memphis and the law. We also take a look at our longest-running legal clinic in our Elder Law Clinic, led by Professor Donna Harkness, and examine how she’s educating students in what has been named one of the “Top 10 Hottest Areas of Law Practice.”
