Memphis Law 2020 Bar Preparation Resources

Free PMBR Three-Day Course

The law school will provide a FREE PMBR three-day course to the Class of 2020. To take advantage of this great offer, please complete the survey in this link (it also asks for information related to Alumni Bar Mentoring).

Alumni Bar Mentoring

Every graduate of the Class of 2020 will receive an Alumni Bar Mentor. This mentor will provide encouragement, bar exam taking tips, assistance with your schedule, and answer non-substantive questions. You may improve your pairing with an alumni bar mentor by completing the additional information found in the survey link above.

Bar Support Series: Weigh-In Wednesday

WEIGH-IN WEDNESDAY is a time for you to gather information during your study period that will enhance your preparation for the bar exam from week to week. It’s also an opportunity for you to gather with your peers during a time that can feel isolating. These sessions will be come-and-go events where the bar preparation director, professors, and others may be in attendance.
Each week an email will be sent (and blog post) providing an overview of what the session that week will feature and any guest lecturers.
Save the date for Wednesday, May 27 (4:00 PM). This first workshop will focus on general bar exam preparation techniques and how to capitalize on the MPT section of the bar exam.
Every Wednesday from May 27 – July 1 for 75 minutes will be a Weigh-In Wednesday. All sessions will be available through Zoom and will be recorded. Recordings and materials will be posted to the TWEN page.

Individual Consultations

Individual consultations are an opportunity for Memphis Law bar takers to discuss study schedules, receive written feedback, to discuss individualized preparation strategies, and to ask substantive questions.
Students may make an appointment and same-day meetings are available.  Consultation is available in person via Zoom or by phone. Email Professor DeShun Harris at d.harris@memphis.edu or use the link to schedule an appointment or for more information.
