THE LAW OF PREGNANCY DISCRIMINATION AND ACCOMMODATION:
TENNESSEE LAW AND FEDERAL LAW AFTER THE SUPREME COURT DECISION IN YOUNG
The Pregnancy Discrimination Act (“PDA”) is an employment law “hot topic” thanks to last term’s U.S. Supreme Court decision in Young v. United Parcel Service, followed by the issuance of new EEOC Guidance. This recent decision has brought renewed attention to the PDA, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and state laws that relate to pregnancy discrimination and accommodation. These new developments and their impact on existing law will be discussed in this session.
WHEN: Monday, September 28th
WHERE: The Napa Cafe 5101 Sanderlin Ave., Memphis, TN 38117
