Law Review Mock Write-On Competition Information

Happy week before spring break!

Law Review strongly encourages each 1L to participate in the Mock Write-On Competition beginning this Saturday, March 7, at 9:00 A.M. and ending on Sunday, March 15, at 11:59 P.M. This is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the Bluebook, strengthen your writing skills, and better prepare for the Summer Write-On Competition.

Participation in the Mock Write-On is completely optional and will not impact your score for the Summer Write-On. It will, however, serve as useful practice for the competition that will determine journal membership. Even if you are undecided about joining Law Review, the Mock Write-On is a valuable way to build your confidence and discover areas of confusion before the actual competition.

All instructions and materials will be available on the Summer Write-On TWEN page. To join the page:

  1. Navigate to “Manage Courses.”
  2. Add course: Law Review 2026 Summer Write-On Competition
  3. Enter password: 2026writeon (You will not have access to the Mock Write-On materials until 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 7)

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Once the competition begins, Grace Clement, gclement@memphis.edu, will be the only person with whom you may discuss the Write-On.

We hope many of you will take advantage of this practice opportunity, and we wish you a productive and restful spring break.
