Summer Work

The law school recommends that you avoid working during the summer you are studying for the bar exam if at all possible.  We understand that some of you may need to work to support yourselves or your families, but you should make every effort avoid work or to keep your work hours to a minimum.  Your bar prep should be your singular (or at least your main) focus.  If your employer is asking you to work during bar prep, please let Dean Romantz know.  He will be happy to advocate to your employer on your behalf.  If you need financial assistance, you can find information about bar loans here.

Bar Exam Study Aids

The law library has more than a dozen books on preparing for the bar exam available to current and former students studying for the bar exam.  These books contain useful study strategies that may help you prepare your study plan.  They are not subject specific, nor are they a substitute for taking a bar review course such as Barbri or Kaplan.  They are available on the first floor of the library.
