Introducing Tech Thursdays at the Memphis Law Library!
The law library is proud to present our new programming lineup for this school year. We will e presenting weekly sessions on various ways to integrate technology into the law school experience in order to make your life easier. Many of these sessions will be informal and rather short, so, unless otherwise noted, you should feel free to drop by at any time during the listed date and time and we’ll be glad to talk to you. Unless otherwise noted, these sessions are available to all students, faculty, staff, or members of the local legal community.
The schedule for the first few weeks of school is as follows:
Aug. 18: Research Refresher – This is a longer session is for 2Ls and 3Ls who would like reminders on how to do efficient and quality research. Location for this session is TBA.
Aug. 25: Note-taking Apps – We will be discussing some of the more popular note taking apps and their pros and cons. This session is particularly for those of you who prefer mobile devices to laptops.
Sept. 1: Time Management Apps – As important as it is to efficiently block out time in law school, having apps that will make that process easier is very important. We will be discussing some of the most popular apps for scheduling your day.
Sept. 8: Study Guides I: E-books – Why carry around 25 lbs. of books when you can put them on a tablet? This session will show you what’s available electronically in the way of study guides and horn books.
