GRANTS FOR HEALTH LAW/POLICY RESEARCH ASSISTANTS (related to Adverse Childhood Experiences) – DEADLINE MONDAY NOVEMBER 7
GRANTS FOR HEALTH LAW/POLICY RESEARCH ASSISTANTS (related to Adverse Childhood Experiences) – DEADLINE MONDAY NOVEMBER 7
We are now accepting applications for multiple RA Grants to help on policy related to ACEs in the spring term. The official announcement and statement of requirements follows below. The deadline for applications is 4:00pm on Monday, November 7. To apply, please submit a resume with cover letter (addressed to Selection Committee, which shall be appointed by the Dean) describing your interest in and qualifications for a grant and the reasons you believe the Committee should select you for a grant. It is anticipated we will have several student RA grants for the spring. Submit applications electronically to Ms. Karol Landers at kusmani@memphis.edu. It will make this process easier if you submit the application as a single PDF document. The subject line of the email should clearly state your name and the connection to the Health Law/Policy (ACEs) RA Grant. Please address any questions about this opportunity to Institute for Health Law & Policy Director, Professor Amy Campbell.
The Health Law/Policy (ACEs) Grants for Research Assistance were created through an award from The ACE Awareness Foundation to the Institute for Health Law & Policy at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. More than one grant will be awarded for the spring semester RA positions. Grants will be awarded to students in their second or third year of law school who are in good academic standing and have exemplified academic merit. Preference will be given to students in the Certificate in Health Law Program, who have taken Health Law I, Health Law II, or Public Health Law (or will be taking Health Law in the spring), or who have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to the law school’s health law program. Students who are awarded a grant will be expected to enroll in the Health Policy Practicum in the spring 2017 term for skills-development related to these RA opportunities.
