FedSoc Presents: Litigating on Behalf of the House of Representatives – Wednesday, November 20th at Noon
You are invited to join The Federalist Society’s Thanksgiving Dinner with Kristin Shapiro at noon on Wednesday, November 20th, in Wade Auditorium.
Ms. Shapiro just completed serving three years as Assistant General Counsel of the House of Representatives. As of this week, she is now serving in the Office of Legal Counsel of the Department of Justice. Ms. Shapiro received her law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 2009, where she graduated second in her class. After law school, she clerked for Judge Alex Kozinski of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to her service at the House, Ms. Shapiro was an associate at Williams & Connolly. Ms. Shapiro is also a visiting fellow at the Independent Women’s Forum, where she has developed a budget-neutral proposal for a federal parental leave policy that has been the model for multiple bills in Congress. Ms. Shapiro’s commentary has been published by the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.
