Fall 2025 | Registration Materials Posted!
The Fall 2025 registration materials are posted on the Law Registrar’s Registration & Course Information page. Please review the Course Schedule and Course Grid closely; there are revisions.
We want to thank every student who took the time to review the draft grid and provide us with feedback. We revised the grid using your feedback for some things, but other feedback did not result in a change for various reasons.
Registration begins on April 7 for veterans and JD/MBA students (MBA courses only). Then, during the week of April 14, all other students will register based on their attempt hours.
- 43+ attempted hours* – Monday, April 14 at NOON
- 15-42 attempted hours* – Wednesday, April 16 at NOON
- 0-14 attempted hours* – Friday, April 18 at 8:00 a.m.
*Current semester hours are NOT included in attempted hours!
Below are some tips before registration begins:
- Read the Law Registrar’s Registration Memo in its entirety.
- Check for financial holds on your account and/or a notification that you need an alternate PIN. Only USBS can clear financial holds. The Law Registrar‘s office can clear an alternate PIN; just send an email. HOLDS and the need for an ALTERNATE PIN will impede your registration.
- STEPS TO CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION STATUS:
- In myMemphis, select MyResources.
- Select Registration & Records.
- Under Online Registration, select Prepare for Registration.
- Under “What would you like to do?” select Prepare for Registration.
- Under Term, select Summer 2025 or Fall 2025, then click Continue.
- Registration Status information will be provided.
- STEPS TO CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION STATUS:
- Read the Footnotes on the last page of the Course Schedule.
- Updates to the schedule are unlikely, but any updates will be announced via the blog. So check the Blog daily.
- Students who have satisfied their Advanced Writing Requirement in previous semesters—either through completing a seminar or a Law Review Note—should note that they cannot register for a seminar until Friday, April 18. This policy is in place to allow greater accessibility for those who still need this requirement.
- Please be aware that students with accommodations are NOT permitted to register early. This policy remains in effect regardless of any messaging you may encounter on the myMemphis platform or if the registration system appears to allow early access.
- Watch the Blog for an announcement regarding advising sessions. Get an appointment and receive academic advising!
- Ask questions about anything you do not understand.
- Read the Law Registrar’s Registration Memo in its entirety.
P.S. Read the Law Registrar’s Registration Memo in its entirety.
