Diversity Series Update/ Forum Discussion Invitation

The Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and OUTLAW thank each member of the law school family who was in attendance at today’s Diversity Series panel. Throughout the 2015-2016 school year, BLSA will host a series of panel discussions  focused on various topics in diversity and inclusion, both inside and outside of the legal profession. The purpose of such panels is to facilitate discussion about these topics so that we can make steps toward changing the atmosphere in our community and in our careers. Today’s discussion featured panelists who spoke about the challenges that are faced by LGBT community with inclusion in Memphis and they posed solutions to address the problem. Unfortunately, there was not enough time for audience participation in the discussion, but there were so many topics that were left untouched. With this in mind, BLSA encourages students, faculty, and staff to continue the discussion in a forum on BLSA’s TWEN page. The forum can be accessed Here
