1) BUTLER SNOW is interviewing at Memphis law on Feburary 23 for postitions in Memphis, Nashville, Ridgeland, MS and Birmingham, AL. The appplication deadline is February 8. 1Ls only
2) INTERNATIONAL PAPER is seeking a 1L for their Legal Department Summer Internship Program. Interviews are February 24, with an application deadline of February 8. 1Ls only
3) The TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVATION is interviewing at Memphis law on Tuesday February 16 for a position in Nashville. The application deadline is January 31. In addition, the interviewer(s) from TNDEC will be at the Public Interest Fair the following day (February 17, from 11am-1pm). 1Ls, 2Ls
4) The TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN’S SERVICES will be interviewing at Memphis law on Thursday February 18 for positions statewide. The application deadline is January 31. In addition, the interviewer(s) from TN-DCS will be at the Public Interest Fair the day before (February 17, from 11am-1pm). 1Ls, 2Ls, and 3Ls
5) GEARHISER, PETERS, ELLIOT & CANNON, PLLC will be interviewing at Memphis law on February 29 for a position in Chattanooga, involving “transactional law, including business, estate planning and estate administration.” The application deadline is February 15. 1Ls, 2Ls
Some of these postings have grade requirements and some do not. If you are interested in a job, but don’t quite meet the specifications, you can still apply. Just acknowledge that you don’t meet the requirement in your cover letter, but then tell them why you are great candidate who should still be considered.
