CSO and SBA committee
SBA is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Career Services Office (CSO). A committee comprised of the Assistant Dean of Career Services, the Law School Counselor for Career Services, the SBA President, and Bar Governors from each class, will begin to meet regularly. The goals of the new CSO/SBA partnership will be to raise awareness of CSO programs and activities, address the needs of both students and the CSO, and collect vital data on student employment figures.
As part of this new initiative, the SBA encourages you to RSVP (TODAY — March 29) to the upcoming Labor and Employment Panel by emailing Chesney McAfee at cfmcafee@memphis.edu. The Labor and Employment Panel will be held on Wednesday, March 30th at noon in room 244. The panel has some heavy hitters on it from International Paper, private firms, and the EEOC. This is an opportunity to learn about an interesting area in the law, and to network by introducing yourself after the discussion.
Expect to hear more in the coming weeks and months about the CSO/SBA committee.
