COVID Reminders

The University of Memphis no longer requires students to self-report COVID exposure or positive COVID tests.  As with any illness, students who test positive should follow the treatment advice of their physician and, with respect to COVID, should follow current CDC guidelines for quarantine/isolation.  The CDC has created a helpful Isolation and Exposure Calculator to help you determine whether you need to quarantine/isolate and, if so, for how long.

COVID-related absences are handled the same way any other health-related absence is handled.  Please refer to the syllabus for each course to determine your professor’s policies regarding health-related absences. If you have questions or concerns about any assignments or classes that you will miss during your quarantine/isolation, please contact your professor directly.  If your absence or illness may affect your ability to take a midterms or other exam, please contact Dean Wilson at jlwlson2@memphis.edu.

If you are experiencing symptoms, remember that Student Health Center is available to all University of Memphis students at no additional cost.  The Student Health Center provides a range of medical care, including testing for COVID and other illnesses.
