Constitution Day Panel at McWherter Library Featuring Professor Kiel
The University of Memphis Ned McWherter Library invites you to an interdisciplinary Constitution Day Panel on the main campus. Please join us at McWherter Library 2nd Floor Commons at 3:30pm on Thursday, September 17. Join us for a lively exchange of ideas by an informed panel on how the US Constitution continues to shape our rights, the powers and limits of government, and some of the most consequential issues Americans debate today. The discussion will consider the Constitution’s origins, its strengths and flaws, and how changing interpretations of the document have influenced American democracy over time. Panelists will include James Fahey (Dept of Political Science), Daniel Kiel (Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law), and Ann Youngblood Mulhearn (MTSU, Dept of History).
