Clerkship College: Free Opportunity for 3Ls and Recent Grads
The Legal Writing Institute, in partnership with the Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest University School of Law, will host the 2024 Clerkship College, a virtual training webinar for current and prospective judicial clerks. The seminar is scheduled for November 14-15, 2024 (11:00am-5:00pm EST each day) and will feature training sessions focused on principles of leadership and legal writing skills–two hallmarks of a successful clerkship experience.
Throughout the two-day program, which will be held on Zoom, attendees will engage with judges, law clerks, practitioners, and law professors on the following topics

- Clerkships, Growth Mindset, and Grit: The Value of Resilience for Judicial Clerks
- Collegiality and Civility in the Judiciary and Legal Profession: Learning to Work Across Differences

- Effective Revising and Editing
- Using Social Media Responsibly while Clerking
- Achieving the “Right” Tone, Style, and Voice in Judicial Opinions
