Law Clerk – Tennessee Supreme Court (Memphis)
The Honorable Mary L. Wagner is seeking qualified individuals to serve as law clerks in her chambers in Memphis, Tennessee. Positions are available beginning in September 2024. Position terms include one-year, two-year and career clerk positions. Applicants should indicate their preference in his or her cover letter.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties include researching substantive legal issues, preparing legal memoranda, drafting opinions, and some administrative responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess a strong academic record, excellent research and writing skills, and high standards of integrity and professionalism. Preference will be given to applicants with law review or previous experience as a law clerk or practicing attorney.
