Class of 2023: Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program

We have some important information and updates to share with all of you related to the upcoming PMF Class of 2023 Application Cycle, including details on information sessions for potential applicants. The PMF Program is the Federal Government’s flagship leadership development program for advanced degree holders across all academic disciplines. It was established 45 years ago by Executive Order and has gone through changes over the years, but the essential mission remains the same: to recruit and develop a cadre of future government leaders from all segments of society.

First, mark your calendars and spread the word! The PMF Program Office is happy to formally announce the dates for the upcoming PMF Class of 2023 Application, which are as follows:  opening Noon (Eastern Time), Tuesday, September 13^th and closing Noon (Eastern Time), Tuesday, September 27^th, 2022. These dates have been posted at https://www.pmf.gov/become-a-pmf/2023-application/.

For the 2023 application cycle, we have made significant updates to the assessment and selection process. This important work was carried out to more efficiently and effectively achieve the program goal of recruiting and identifying a qualified, diverse group of applicants who will become Finalists and Fellows. We have also updated and released the “2023 PMF Applicant Handbook” and posted it to the PMF website. The Handbook can be found under the “Become a PMF/Resources” section at https://www.pmf.gov/become-a-pmf/resources/. The Handbook details the annual application process, eligibility requirements, required documentation, and provides an overview of the assessment process, all with the goal of preparing applicants to submit successful applications.

Additionally, during the months of August/September 2022, we will be hosting a series of informational webinars for potential applicants about the upcoming PMF Class of 2023 Application. The informational webinars will provide a general overview of the PMF Program, details about the 2023 application cycle, and if time permits, allow for any questions. Please note that several of the webinars have a specific focus related to strategic recruitment goals, but all will cover the basics outlined above and are open to all disciplines. The webinars will not be recorded for later publishing or viewing.
