Call for Green Fee Proposals

Below is a message from main campus. We encourage you to submit a proposal if you have any ideas for the law school!

The University of Memphis Sustainable Campus Fee, also known as the Green Fee, was initiated by students in 2007. The purpose of the fee is to support projects and practices that make our campus more energy efficient, environmentally friendly and sustainable. Every year, the Green Fee Committee comprised of students, faculty and staff, reviews inspired proposals and ideas for how best to spend the Green Fee funds. Submissions are welcomed from students as well as academic and administrative departments.
Help Tiger Blue Go Green by submitting the following:

IDEAS: Do you have thoughts on how Green Fee funds could be spent to make the campus more sustainable? The person(s) and/or department submitting an idea does not need to be able to carry out an envisioned project.

PROPOSALS: Requests for funding from the Green Fee Committee to implement a sustainability focused project in 2026-27 can be submitted now. The person(s) and/or department submitting a proposal must be capable of managing the funds in a University account and carrying out what is needed to fulfill an accepted proposal.

Deadline for proposals is Tuesday, March 31, 2026
Hearings for proposals will be scheduled the fourth week of April. Projects will be notified of their status by the end of May.
