BLSA CIVIL RIGHTS PANEL – THE PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE – FEB. 28th

BLSA will host its annual Civil Rights Panel on February 28th in Wade Auditorium at 12:00PM-1:00PM. The panel will consist of speakers reflecting on the Civil Rights Movement and its Future. Our Moderator will be Daniel Keel, Law Professor at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Confirmed Panelists: Mike Cody, Esq, Burch Porter & Johnson: defended MLK in Sanitation Strike; Walter Bailey, Esq, brother of D’Army Bailey and one of the lawyers on brief for Tennessee v. Garner before U.S. Supreme Court; Tami Sawyer, Civil Rights Activist, Educator, and founder of Take ‘Em Down 901; Vikki Terry, Executive Director of the NAACP Memphis Branch. Please come and join us!
