BE A WITNESS FOR THE NATIONAL TRIAL TEAM!

As it prepares for the upcoming National Trial Competition, the Law School’s National Trial Team is in need of witnesses for its practice trials this weekend (January 24th 25th) and next weekend (January 31st and February 1st).  The practice trials are held in the Historic Courtroom and generally start around 1:00 p.m.  In addition to helping the National Trial Team ready for competition, participation as a witness is a wonderful introduction to and/or refresher in oral advocacy, trial practice and procedure, and the rules of evidence.  This year’s case, State of Lone Star v. Peter Paul Seeger, is a criminal prosecution of alleged assault and domestic violence.  The complete case file can be found here: http://www.tyla.org/tyla/assets/File/Final%20Problem%20(Complete).pdf.

If you are interested in participating as a witness this weekend or next, or otherwise have any questions, please contact Professor Schaffzin (dschffzn@memphis.edu/(215) 380-0969) as soon as possible.
