Soon you will begin your Tennessee Bar application for the July Bar exam. The application opens on March 1 and the application deadline is May 1.
The Director of the TN Board of Law Examiners, Lisa Perlen will be at the law school on February 11th at noon to provide additional information.
- Want to cross something off your to-do list?
- Print page 2 of the Law Degree Verification form [the link to the form is under Step 5B] and have it notarized. Give the notarized form to Law Registrar, Cheryl Edwards to complete. [Room 264].

- Law Registrar, Cheryl Edwards can notarize the form.
- If Ms. Edwards is unavailable, Ms. Sandy Love is also a notary, but you will need an appointment.

- Do you plan to apply for Non-Standard Testing Accommodations?
- Review the requirements early. Up-to-date testing may be required. The Director of the Disability Resources for Students office, Ms.Tara Buchanan will complete some forms.
NOT planning to sit for the Bar exam in Tennessee? Notify Ms. Edwards AND check your state’s Bar Examiners website for deadlines and requirements. No matter the state, the Law Registrar’s office must confirm your degree and provide character and fitness information.
