APPELLATE ADVOCACY
Everyone currently enrolled in Appellate Advocacy should have received a memo discussing how to preference a small section. Please contact Cheryl Edwards to indicate your section preference or if you did not receive a memo.
There is still room in the class and we welcome more enrollment. Please contact Cheryl Edwards if you plan to enroll so you can preference a section. Third-year students and students on law review are welcome.
We have a great problem that forms the basis of the class and is the problem for the Advanced Moot Court competition. Both issues concern the Fourth Amendment. Very generally, the issues are whether a warrantless search of a police officer’s work locker is an unreasonable search under the Fourth Amendment and whether police seize a person within the meaning of the Fourth Amendment if they shoot him but he still manages to escape. The Advanced problem will be available on TWEN the first day of classes and the competition kick-off will be shortly after Labor Day.
Thanks!
