ABA Business Law Section Summer Diversity Clerkship Program
The American Bar Association’s Business Law Section offers a highly coveted clerkship opportunity that we would love to share with your law students. The American Bar Association’s Business Law Section is accepting applications to the 2025 Diversity Clerkship Program through December 31st. Both 1L and 2L students are eligible to apply to this program, which offers a generous $3,000 stipend, placement in the top business courts with the top business judges in the country, mentorship, and integration into a network of over 30,000 business lawyers nationwide.
The Diversity Clerkship Program is a summer program that provides business law clerkship placements for qualified, diverse first and second-year law students. Participating clerks receive support and mentoring in the business law field, exposure to business practices, and a $3,000 stipend to help cover living expenses. Roles and responsibilities of selected Diversity Clerkship participants include but are not limited to researching cases, drafting memoranda and opinions, observing trials, and networking with local attorneys and judges.
Applicants must be considered diverse in one or more of the following ways: law student of color; women; law students with disabilities; LGBTQ+ law students; and/or students who have overcome social or economic disadvantages such as a physical disability, financial constraints, or cultural impediments to becoming a law student.
