3Ls & Recent Grads: Apply to KY DPA Virtual Career Fair by June 5

3Ls & Recent Grads:

We have extended the deadline of our Online Career Fair to this Friday June 5th!

The Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy is hiring for our Fall 2026 class, beginning August 17th. Following the legislative session, we are pleased to announce additional positions available for graduating 3L or 4P students as well as recent graduates. If you have students who have not yet secured post-bar employment and are interested in public defense, we would be grateful if you could share information about our upcoming DPA Career Fest.

DPA will host an Online Career Fest on June 13th, during which we will conduct interviews and extend offers to qualifying candidates. For strong candidates unable to attend, we are also offering individual interviews by appointment. We encourage any student interested in public defense or public interest law who is able to work in Kentucky to apply. Priority has been extended to Friday June 5th, however applications received after that date will still be reviewed.

This event will feature presentations about the KY DPA and interviews with leaders from across the state. Job offers are made shortly following the Defender Career Fest event.
