Law Clerk – Tennessee Supreme Court (Memphis)
The Honorable Mary L. Wagner is accepting applications for the position of Term Law Clerk in her chambers in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a full time, one-year position, with a possibility of extension. The term start date is September 2025.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties include researching substantive legal issues, preparing legal memoranda, drafting opinions, and some administrative responsibilities. The term clerk will share in the administrative tasks of chambers. The position may include some travel (including overnight) within Tennessee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should possess a strong academic record, excellent research and writing skills, and high standards of integrity and professionalism. Preference will be given to applicants with law review or previous experience as a law clerk or practicing attorney.
