3Ls: Apply for TN Court of Criminal Appeals Memphis Clerkship by Sunday October 1st
One-year clerkship with Judge Camille R. McMullen, Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, in Memphis, Tennessee. Judge McMullen’s previous law clerks have moved on to become In-House Counsel, Assistant U.S. Attorneys, Assistant Attorneys General, Assistant District Attorneys, and of course have gone on to practice both civil and criminal law at prestigious firms. It is clear that having one or two years of experience as a law clerk, with all the research, analytical thinking, and writing that it entails, opens the door to even more opportunities than a law student would have immediately upon graduation.
The clerkship begins approximately August 1, 2024 and continues through July 31, 2025. Candidates must be current 3Ls or a recent graduate from the University of Memphis School of Law.
Strongly prefer candidates who are top 10% of class, a member of the University of Memphis Law Review or other law journal, and applicants who have received top marks in all Legal Research and Writing Courses
Cover letter, resume, references, transcript, and writing sample are required. Deadline to apply is October 1, 2023. Apply via Symplicity OCI, “FALL 2023 OCI: The Honorable Camille McMullen Resume Collect”
